ori School,Asharfabad witnessed a grand and vibrant celebration to honor the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab. The event commenced at 10:30 am, brimming with an air of enthusiasm and reverence. A group of students visited the nearby Gurdwara in the early hours, and upon their return, the formal proceedings of the celebration began with great anticipation.
The program opened with a warm and inspiring welcome address by the Headmistress (Ms. Shephali Jaiswal), who set the tone for the gathering with her gracious words, instilling a spirit of unity and devotion. Following this, Class 2 students led the school prayer, creating an atmosphere of deep solemnity, before performing a heartfelt devotional song that resonated with the audience and drew everyone into a shared sense of purpose.
To deepen the collective understanding of Gurpurab’s significance, students from Class 1 presented an insightful piece, shedding light on the historical and spiritual importance of this sacred day. The program continued with a compelling skit by Class 4 students, illustrating the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Their portrayal beautifully conveyed timeless messages of love, equality, and selfless service, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present.
In a heartwarming gesture, children invited from the Gurdwara recited verses from the Guru Bani, adding a sacred resonance to the event and emphasizing the spiritual essence of the celebration. Young students from the Montessori and Nursery classes further enlivened the occasion by partaking in a Prabhat Pheri, followed by an endearing and beautifully coordinated choreography dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, filling the atmosphere with joy and reverence.
‘Kada Prasad’ was distributed among the parents and staff of Asharfabad.
The celebration concluded with a sincere vote of thanks delivered by our esteemed Principal, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all students and staff members for their dedication and contributions. The Gurpurab celebration was a truly enlightening and spiritually uplifting experience for all, leaving a profound sense of unity and reverence for the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
