No Bag Day for Pre-Primary, Classes I and II
Campus: Asharfabad
Date: 19.10.2024
Our campus organized “No Bag Day,” a unique initiative aimed at fostering a more creative and engaging learning environment. Without the weight of textbooks and the rigidity of a traditional classroom setting, students had the opportunity to explore life skills that go beyond the regular curriculum.
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, kindergarten students participated in a stimulating role-play activity centered around the theme of ‘Bank.’ The objective of this exercise was to promote interactive learning and provide hands-on experience with real-world banking concepts. This event was designed to teach young learners the importance of financial literacy, savings, and responsible banking. Through interactive sessions and practical activities, learners were introduced to essential banking services and responsible money management.
The young learners set up their own bank, “Joyful Savings,” within the school premises. Various sections were organized by the learners, including:
1. Insure Hub 2. Gold Loan 3. Home Loan 4. Car Loan 5. Cash Counter 6. Help Desk 7. ATM Corner 8. Bank Manager’s Office-The highlight of No Bag Day was the mock bank set up on campus, where learners simulated opening accounts, depositing money, and making withdrawals. Learner volunteers took on roles as bank tellers and managers, guiding their peers through the processes. This hands-on activity helped students understand how banks operate. Topics covered included: The importance of saving money Different types of bank accounts (savings, checking, etc.) How interest works Responsible use of credit and debit cards The role-play activity on banking was a great success, providing students with crucial knowledge about personal finance. The hands-on experience and interactive sessions ensured that learners left with a clearer understanding of money management, empowering them to make better financial decisions in the future.
